This corner of Italy boot shaped is an exotic area due to Greek, Norman and Arab influences. Cycle coastal roads through Adriatic fishing ports, then venture inland past olive groves, vineyards and grazing sheep. And enjoy country cuisine: abundant seafood, fresh vegetables, homemade pasta and outstanding bred pane. Romanesque churches and charming Trulli –squat houses of whitewashed stone unique conical roofs

Itinerary:

Day One: Bari - Polignano a mare
We will meet at Polignano hotel covo dei saraceni (you will arrive by the train or plane to Bari, distance from polignano is 30 km) Check into your rooms at our hotel and meet your local outfitter Alessandro during a bike-fitting session. Get to explore spectacular Polignano a Mare, a postcard perfect whitewashed village overlooking the Adriatic: be sure to explore the old town's narrow winding streets and marvel at the incredible views of the bright blue sea. This town perhaps best known for its natural caves Grotte which are bored into the calcareous coastline by the constant scouring of wind and waves.

Day Two: Castellana grotte & Monopoli
Length: 62 km.
From Polignano pedal through groves of olive trees and to the cool limestone caves of Grotte di Castellana (considered the deepest caverns) in Italy, the Fig and vut trees, cactus plants and herb gardens fill our path with color and fragrances. Visit the grotte, a 3 km walking. Until the discovery in 1938 the caves were used to put vinacce: dregs of pressed grapes. Continue to Monopoli, a costal town with a beautiful aragonese castle.

Day Three: Ostuni
Length: 52 km.
From Monopoli to Ostuni skirting the cost: Torre egnazia ruins, where you can see ancient wagon wheel tracks that along part of the old roman road via traiana - Savelletri, Torre a Canne and arrive to Ostuni. It is a charming hamlet whose whitewashed arches and houses are neatly piled like sugar cubes with beautiful examples of Baroque and renaissance architecture. Our hotel is in the historic center.

Day Four: San vito dei Normanni
Length: 60 km
Circular bike ride  to Carovigno, San vito dei normanni, Ceglie.
Follow rolling country roads lines with ancient stone walls  the fertile Valle d’Itria, stop at the sanctuary of St. Maria del Belvedere. Visit Ceglie Messapico – this lovely town on a hill is protected by a 5 km perimeters of walls and the Castle of the San Severino.

Day Five: Alberobello
Length: 56 km.
Roll along a scenic route to Fasano and Cisternino, a little known village with spectacular views of the Val d'Itria. Your goal is Alberobello a world heritage site and known for nearly conical shaped white 1,000 Trulli dating back to the 13th century, this particular houses are painted with strange symbols on their roofs and framed by rich green farmland.

Day Six: Locorotondo & Martina Franca
Total distance 56 km
circular bike ride to Locorotondo, a stunning circular village known for its excellent white wine. follow rolling country roads lines with ancient stone walls the fertile Valle d’Itria.
Spin past Martina Franca, known for its Baroque architecture. Come back via Noci.

Day Seven: after breakfast end of tour. Train or private transfer available
After the bike tour you have not to miss Lecce: the pink city, the Florence of the Baroque, the gleaming gem of Apulia. We can arrange hotel patria palace and an historic local guide will let you enjoy a beautiful sightsee.
