Sorry it took me a while to send this email.
I wanted to tell you that we really enjoyed our bicycle tour of the Puglia region. The bikes where very good, the scenery was pretty, the hotels where superb and the weather (except for one day with rain) was great. On another day we made it back to the hotel and before we sat down the worst thunderstorm hit – we would not have been happy outside in that storm! Attached to this email are a couple of photos that you might like.
we would gladly recommend this tour to others, especially for the good service from you and your team.

Hi Giuliana,
We're finally back home after a couple of days in Firenze and visiting our son in Lugano. We had a absolutely fantastic time. I expected the riding to be great but had no idea all the rest of it the week would be so wonderful. Boscarello is beautiful, of course, but in addition Carlotta was a wonderful hostess and it was exciting to meet her father as well. The food was delicious -- we're still remembering and talking about the recipies!
You and Marco were absolutely the best! All the riding details we so well thought out -- we loved the restaurants and the visits. It was perfecto!!
Thanks very much for everything. We really look forward to doing it again!

Hi Marco and Guiliana, We made it back home 3 hours late last Wednesday night after spending the last night in Rome. Wish we would have skipped that city...too crowded, noisy and dirty. Everything else in Italy was great. The highlight for sure was our bike ride in Tuscany. The experience was far better than I had ever imagined. I knew it would be scenic, but the extra touches that you provided made it unbelievably wonderful.
Then we spent 2 days in Cinque Terre where the weather was good...we got a whole other set of muscles sore there with that hike. But I think, Marco, while walking up all of those steps, unlike on my bike, I could monitor myself and take it easy on the flat parts. I will think of you from now on whenever I ride uphill. Anyway, we have nothing but great things to say about our tour with you. Thank-you so much for the fantastic experience. As soon as we can figure out how to send you a few pictures, we will.

Hi Guiliana - Sadly, we are back home but have wonderful memories forever!!
Once again you planned a perfect cycle (on tandem) tour of Tuscany. Starting in Cortona - stunning village- with out rides to Passignano sul Trasmino (Magnificent lake) - and Monte san Sovino. The heart of Tuscany is so very special to cycle through - the quaint old villages of Montepulciano and of course a 2 night stay in my favourite Pienza - with outrides - really enjoyed the challenge of Monte Amiata- climbing up,up through the cool forests - stunning! (great lunch at top).
San Casciano - what an incredible panoramic view from this small village - just awesome - lovely suite in that hotel.
From there into the Maremma area- with quiet roads and breathtaking veiws. Sovana charming and very special. Scansano - health spa - just perfect (jacuzzis and indoor/outdoor pools).
Then down to the sea - just wow!! Talamone and Porto San Stefano - How beautiful these sea ports are. We so enjoyed spending 2 nights in Hotels with outrides from there. The staff at the hotels were friendly and fun. Your suggestions of restaurants were excellent.
I can Highly recommend this tour - to anyone who enjoys cycling - yes, there are many hills - beautiful vallys/lakes and we just love the villages we go through - people always greet you.
Every day was special- every ride (12) awesome!!! –

We want to thank you for a wonderful vacation! Everything that you planned and advised was perfect. The routes were gorgeous and challenging. That meant some of us worked hard, but we did it and now feel we can tackle any bike route. And for the stronger bikers, they talk of coming back to Tuscany to live so they can have that kind of biking all the time. The hotels were charming, friendly and well located. The restaurants were all delicious. We have one to add to your list - La Torre in Castellina.

Dear Giuliana-
We had a wonderful time on the cycling trip. The maps and route descriptions were excellent and the length of cycling for each day was just right. The hotels were all lovely - central and charming.
We stuck to the routes you gave us for most of the trip. On the day when we cycled to Montefalco and back to Bevagna, we ended up getting a little lost but found the cycling path along the river and really enjoyed that path.
The bikes were very light and efficient. I think I would have preferred drop handlebars rather than the ones that stick up. I thought we had asked for hybrid bikes and that's why I requested the upright handlebars. It turns out the bikes you provided were much better than hybrids for climbing all the hills. The only small problem was a flat tire - front tire of my bike. We used the inner tube you supplied and fixed it quickly.
I think that the route from Todi to Orvieto was my favourite. We got such a great view from up high and it was mostly quiet country roads.
Thanks for organizing such a wonderful trip. It was a pleasure.

Cindy and I want to thank you for the wonderful experiences we had while biking in Puglia. This was our third ride with Cicloposse, having previously ridden in Tuscany and Umbria, and neither of us can decide which ride was the best. All three offer wonderful insights into Italy, and it’s our dream to come back again. Everything (again) was perfect (accommodations, bikes, maps).

I just wanted to say thank you to both of you for a most amazing time. WE loved every minute of our trip to Italy, from the difficult hills (and for me, riding downhill :)) to the countryside of Italy, the warmth of the Italian people, the villa, cooking classes and how easy you both made it for us. Everything was perfect!
Hope that you are all well. We thought of Marco when we were in Positano ~ anyway, we relive our trip with the photos and the video!

Hi Giuliana:
I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the bike trip in Maremma. As usual in Tuscany, there was good weather, good food and good people. I liked that part of Tuscany because there was less tourists and less traffic. The Tuscan countryside was beautiful. The best ride was on the last day from Scansano to Talamone, mostly downhill with good views of the landscape.
So take care and maybe I will try another ride in the future.

I loved the hills (both going up as well as coming down), and finishing each day in the hill towns was really fun. How are you - busy with summer cycling trips? I hope the weather has been good. I imagine everyone in Italy knows about New Zealand since the football match!!
We have been home one month now but I think of our cycling trip in Italy all the time! I would love to be there now. We are in the middle of winter and it's very cold, but not much snow yet. I am sending you some pictures from this area so you can see where we live. Our farm is very flat but we have the mountains nearby for skiing, climbing and mountain biking in summer. The roads around here are good for road cycling. If you would ever like to come to NZ please let us know - we would love to see you again and go cycling with you here.
And we also wanted to thank you again for organising such a good trip. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back some day. Kem says we climbed the right hills and went down the right hills - thanks!

Dear Giuliana, Marco and Roberto,
I am writing the two of you this email on July 5th at 6:00 am in the morning. I just returned from JFK airport after dropping off David and Justin H. for their return trip home to Texas and Oklahoma. So my task and honor as their host has been officially completed, and the only thing remaining is for me to do is write this email to thank you both.

Thank you very much for a wonderful vacation! The hotels were lovely, the routes were so interesting, and the countryside was spectacular. My daughter and I really enjoyed our trip to Tuscany. We think you live in the most beautiful town of all!!!
If you ever come to the US, please contact me. There is great biking here on Long Island, New York, next to some really beautiful beaches. You might be bored, however, it is very flat here!!! Or, I can show you some hilly biking in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

We wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how much we enjoyed the ride and the itinerary couldn't have put is more beautiful places. My husband and I travel at different paces and while he likes to get from point A to point B as fast as he can, I like to meander, stop and linger at will.
This is a personal issue with us. I wish I had more time to wander the beautiful places.....next time. The hotels we stayed at were all very nice too and everybody so helpful. We will definitely recommend Cicloposse to our cycling friends and community back home.
