Podere Buonriposo is situated on a dramatic hilltop, overlooking the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia near Contignano. It has been tastefully restored by the same owners of Podere Casellaccia, the same attention to detail and all the lessons learned from previous renovations have been utilized in  restoration.

This valley is renowned since the end of the first millennium for being an important stage on the Via Francigena, the great medieval route from France to Rome, that led pilgrims to the heart of Christianity. More than twenty castles and rest houses "ospedali" crowned the valley bordering the road. One of them, named "Bounriposo", meaning good rest, has become a vacation house for lovers of the Val d'Orcia.



Rooms with beamed ceilings are good sized and open out to the beautiful views of clay hills, wheat fields and cypress trees The very large patio is shaded by a pergola with opens to the pool.
